We have been saving the environment for over 70 years and have pledged to become a net zero company.
Make a difference
By opting for a retread tyre instead of a new tyre, you are actively choosing to reduce the impact on the planet. New tyres create more CO2 during the manufacturing stage and use 30% more raw materials than retreaded tyres.
A Vaculug retread saves:
• 75 Litres of oil • 60kg of carbon • 30kg of rubber • 20kg of steel
Each year we prevent over 17,000,000kgs of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
We recycle over 5,500 tonnes of waste tyres of which over 4,500 tonnes will be recovered into rubber granulate for sports surfaces.
What is 17,000,000kgs of CO2 equivalent to?
• 3,343 UK homes electricity powered for one year • 2,238,711,265 smartphones charged
